Begleitung der Implementierung und nachhaltigen Sicherung einer evidenz-basierten Pflegepraxis im Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum

Through the collaboration between Kardinal Schwarzenberg Klinikum and the Nursing Development Center (NDC) of the Institute of Nursing Science and Practice, an evidence-based nursing practice was systematically developed and sustainably established. Specifically, existing nursing experts within the hospital were strengthened in the implementation of evidence-based care and supported in the evidence-based preparation and application of clinical questions.
Systematic work on key topics, scientific supervision of these activities within the hospital, and their evaluation were carried out. The collaboration-initiated development processes were used to ensure that newly gained knowledge and concepts could be implemented in practice over the long term. To this end, practice development and research projects were used for the development, evaluation, and implementation of nursing interventions, minimizing the rigidity of institutionally bound organizational practices. The specific interactions between nurses and patients were intended to change in a way that would lead to an improved, as autonomous as possible, situation for patients. Evidence-based working methods were introduced for specific topics, thereby sustainably implementing nursing at an academic level.
